COMME des GARÇONS
Rei Kawakubo founded it in Tokyo in 1969, then detonated Paris in 1981 with black, holes and "anti-fashion." Five decades on, CDG still treats clothing as conceptual art, all deconstruction, asymmetry, lumps and bumps, refusing prettiness in favour of ideas.
